Foot reflexology and traditional full-body massage at busy local shops, blind-massage centres and around Ben Thanh. Excellent value — but this is also where adult-service touts cluster, so choose well-reviewed places with a printed menu.
Mid-range (400,000–800,000 VND)
The sweet spot: polished day spas and Thao Dien garden villas (Moc Huong, Sả Spa, La Sen, AN's, CiCi) with aromatherapy, hot stone and herbal treatments, English-speaking staff and private rooms.
Luxury / hotel-spa (800,000 VND and up)
Five-star hotel spas — Xuan Spa (Park Hyatt), The Spa at The Reverie — and high-end day spas (L'Apothiquaire, Anam QT). Expect a 5% service charge and 10% VAT on top.
Tipping in Ho Chi Minh City
Tipping is more expected at spas than elsewhere in Vietnam — around 10–20%, or a flat 50,000–100,000 VND for a good full-body massage and 20,000–50,000 VND for a foot massage, handed directly to the therapist in cash. Many upscale spas already add a 5% service charge, so check the bottom of the menu and the bill.
